In the world of pro-wrestling, boots are considerably more prevalent, particularly in the ‘big leagues’ of the WWE, TNA and Shimmer. In this arena, the appearance of a barefoot wrestler is therefore all the more notable. Women such as Leilani Kai, Madusa and Molly Holly were all once known for competing barefoot. In recent years though, this has become a rarity, save for the occassional impromptu catfight.

When it comes to the many wrestling websites on the internet, the preference seems to be more towards the barefoot wrestler, although perhaps only by a small percentage. Some sites feature almost exclusively barefoot matches, particularly those that focus on apartment wrestling such as Kickass Girlz and Super Action Fight. Those producers whose output veers more towards pro-wrestling and apartment pro-wrestling will often have a split between barefoot and boots, as often seen at Knockout Girlz and Sleeperkid’s World.

A common type of match showcased by a number of sites is often that of a booted wrestler vs a barefoot one, an idea that goes back to a previous post here about contrasts in wrestling. In that one simple difference we differentiate between the two wrestlers, the implication being that the booted wrestler is a skilled pro and the barefoot woman, a less able rookie. More often than not in such matches, it is usually the barefoot wrestler who finds herself in the jobber role – indeed, it is a rarity to find matches where the barefoot wrestler is dominant.

Perhaps many fans see boots as the quintessential attire of a ‘true’ wrestler. On the other hand, some might consider boots takes away some of the ’sexiness’ of a match, and they are another barrier between direct physical contact between the two fighters. There is of course no right or wrong choice here. But I suspect that won’t stop people debating it for many years to come!

Will the KAG newcomer Christi be able to defeat current KAG Champion Rosie?

The match begins with Rosie quickly putting Christi down with a sleeper hold, Rosie then gets on the back of Christi to put her in the camel clutch. Rosie then locks a dazed Christi in the body scissors, Rosie then takes advantage of a confused Christi to hit her with a snap mare. Rosie then drapes Christi across her knee before hitting her with belly punches, Rosie then puts Christi in the head scissors until she passes out.

Rosie then wakes up a sleeping Christi to put her in the stump puller, Rosie then picks up Christi and tosses her across the room. Rosie then mounts Christi to hit her with a few belly punches, Rosie then moves the attack upwards and she starts punching Christi in the face.

As the one sided battle continues on, will Christi be able to upset KAG Champion Rosie?

Match Thoughts: It was good to see Rosie back in the KAG world, as her voyeur into the KOG territory wasn’t a very successful trip. This video was also one of the longest videos in KAG that I’ve reviewed, as it came in three separate downloadable parts.
